4K for Cancer
I will be running from Baltimore, MD to San Francisco, CA on a relay team with the goal of building support systems and raising money to support young adults impacted by cancer.
After being diagnosed with cancer when I was 17 years old, I believe much of the success of my story was due to the support I received from my family and friends. I want to ensure that each young adult fighting cancer across the United States and beyond feels the same type of support that I was fortunate enough to be born into.
Every step I take this summer (if you do the math of a 4,000 mile run... its a lot of steps), will be one step closer to building a bigger community and support for those fighting cancer. Each step is also symbolic of the impact one can have on another person if they choose to walk with one another through hard things. Cancer changes lives... but so can we.
